This practice includes the prosecution and defense of a wide variety of commercial claims on behalf of privately held companies and individuals including contract and tort-based claims.

Employment

The Firm handles the broad spectrum of issues that affect the employment relationship. Backed by more than twenty years of experience, the Firm handles complex matters on behalf of both employees and employers, involving discrimination and wrongful termination based on age, gender, race, national origin, and disability. We also work with employees and employers on drafting employment agreements and handle severance and non-competition issues after the employment relationship has ended. We regularly appear before both federal and state courts, as well as before administrative agencies. We also represent clients in alternative dispute resolution proceedings.

Alternative Dispute Resolution

Mr. Chinitz is a member of the American Arbitration Association’s commercial panel. In addition to hearing a wide variety of claims as arbitrator, Mr. Chinitz has represented parties in employment and business disputes before arbitrators and in mediations.

Financial Services

With a depth that comes from having litigated claims involving Fortune 100 financial services companies throughout the United States, we handle disputes arising from the sale of various forms of securities and other investment products, traditional and securities-based life insurance and annuities, and coverage claims involving life, disability income, property and casualty and other insurance products.

Real Estate

This practice involves the representation of commercial and residential real estate owners, investors, management companies and tenants in a variety of disputes involving management, contracts, construction matters, purchases and sales, and other real estate-related matters.
